A 12 mm gauge chassis could also be used to motorise the Lledo tram as the same motor is used on both the 9 and 12 mm gauge Halling Vario units. The motor is the widest part of the chassis.

This chassis only accepts a maximum of 4.5 volts so a resistor will need to be included, either in the tram or in the track power supply.
