Oporto No.65 |
---|
No.65 was built in 1912 by the Companhia Carris de Ferro do Porto, Porto, Portugal to carry coal to the company's power stations. There is a plan to use it at Beamish for their Tram Driving Experience after it has been restored.
It was transferred to the Crich Tramway Village off site store at Clay Cross from Oporto Transport Museum in March 2005. It was moved to Crich Tramway Village for display at a tram day on September 10th 2016 and was finally moved to Beamish soon after.
It is the only coal car in Britain and may be modelled at some time in the future when it has been restored.
