Blackpool ‘Boat’ No.233

Twelve of these open-topped boat trams were built for Blackpool Transport in 1934 of which three still occasionally operate along the promenade in Blackpool.

No.233, a much missed tram, arrived at Beamish on loan in 2012 and was sold in 2013 by its owners, the Lancastrian Transport Trust, to a tram museum in America.

The model is made from a Blackpool Plastics kit and is fitted with a Mark Hughes tower and lifeguards and an Alan Kirkman Halling based chassis.
